Partners in cooperation

It is important to generate the link between the studies and working life in the beginning of the academic studies. To support and strengthen the partnership between students and companies OLTO cooperates with the medical technology companies and organizations in forms of working life events and company visits. The cooperation will facilitate the student’s employment after completing the studies and correspondingly facilitate the recruiting of companies. One factor which makes the cooperation like this possible is OLTO’s active operation with support members.

Support member operation

The support member is a quarter which supports the operation of the association. The support member neither has obligations nor responsibility in an association. The support membership starts by paying the membership fee.

Benefits of support membership:

• • Right to use the association of medical technology students e-mail list through the contact person in which the company also is presented to students.
  • Logo will be placed to the OLTO’s website with the introduction text of the company. Also banner with link facility to the company’s web pages can be included.
  • Furthermore, the support members’ logos will be advertised in OLTO’s events, during sales of tickets to the events and on the boards maintained by the guild.
  • Right to use the association of medical technology students e-mail list through the contact person in which the company also is presented to students.
  • Logo will be placed to the OLTO’s website with the introduction text of the company. Also banner with link facility to the company’s web pages can be included.
  • Furthermore, the support members’ logos will be advertised in OLTO’s events, during sales of tickets to the events and on the boards maintained by the guild.
  • The company will be invited to the OLTO’s table party where company can take the floor and introduce itself.
  • The support member will have right to use Biomedical engineering blog in OLTO’s web page. In blog it is possible to increase the visibility, among others, in the form of the pictures and videos.
  • According to the membership agreement other cooperation is also possible: i.e. company visits and working life events within the limits of support membership classes.According to the agreement, also other cooperation is possible as company visit and working life event with support member in scales of the class.

Partner in cooperation

As a partner in cooperation is perceived a company or person who with its operation or support facilitates the active operation of the guild so that the guild is able to support the studies of the students and is able to provide them an opportunity to develop their relations to the working life. The partners in cooperation differ from the support member on the fact that their support applies only to the individual event or operation and not the annual operation of the guild which the support member supports.

If desired, the company can become a partner in cooperation of OLTO for example by supporting an individual event, such as sponsoring the table party or its serving. Some of other popular forms of cooperation are the arranging the company visit or supporting excursion. Also the paying of the annual costs of the Web server is one of the many possibilities to support our association.

As an equivalent the partner in cooperation is introduced to students on the e-mail list and its logo is advertised during the event or operation which it supports. According to the agreement, other visibility is also possible.

E-mail list of the guild

OLTO association has an e-mail list which the students follow every day. It catches quickly about 150 students who are interested in medical technology through e-mail.

Working life event or company visits to students:

Together with OLTO company can arrange different evening parties for the students where they can introduce the operation of the company and tell about the work possibilities to students. OLTO arranges company visits to the companies of the neighboring areas of Oulu each year and to elsewhere in Finland among possibilities.
